Terms of Service
Last updated October 7, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and TableTeller LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("TableTeller," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using TableTeller you agree to them. If you use TableTeller for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
What TableTeller does
TableTeller texts or emails a restaurant's guests one short survey about their order, tells the owner when a guest had a bad visit, and lets the owner reply to that guest, often with an offer, by answering a text. It also sends owners summaries and answers their questions about their own feedback and sales.
Text messaging program
Program name: TableTeller.
Owners and managers: by checking the consent box at tableteller.com/start, or by texting TableTeller first, you agree to receive account texts: guest feedback alerts, approval requests, confirmations, reminders and summaries, and replies to your messages. TableTeller may also call you about urgent issues if you have calls turned on.
Guests: after an order at a participating restaurant, a guest who gave that restaurant a mobile number may receive one survey text about the order, at most once every 30 days per restaurant, and replies to any message the guest sends.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Text STOP to cancel at any time; you'll get one confirmation and no further texts. Text START to opt back in.
- Text HELP for help, or email support@tableteller.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
See our Privacy Policy for how we handle phone numbers. We never share mobile numbers or text opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Keep your phone and login secure: anyone who texts from your number or signs in as you can act on your account, including approving offers. Tell us right away at support@tableteller.com if you think someone else has access.
Restaurant responsibilities
If you use TableTeller for a restaurant, you agree that:
- Guest phone numbers and emails you connect (for example through your point-of-sale system) were collected by your restaurant directly from those guests in connection with their orders, and you have the right to let TableTeller contact them about those orders. You will not upload or connect purchased, rented or scraped lists.
- You will display the TableTeller guest notice (provided at tableteller.com/sms-consent) where guests give their number, such as your counter, receipts or online ordering.
- You will honor the offers you approve, and you are responsible for the content of messages you write or approve.
- You will use guest information only to serve your guests and run your restaurant, and follow the laws that apply to you.
- You will defend and indemnify TableTeller against claims that arise from guest data you provided or from your breach of these responsibilities.
Point-of-sale connections
When you connect Square or another POS, you authorize TableTeller to read the data needed to run the service (orders, items, totals, locations and customer contact details). Access is read-only, and you can disconnect at any time from your settings or from your POS account. Your POS provider's own terms also apply.
AI features
TableTeller uses AI to read guest replies, draft messages and answer questions. AI can make mistakes. Anything that is sent to a guest with an offer or that costs money waits for your approval unless you turn on automatic sending, and you can turn that off at any time by texting STOP AUTO.
Free trial, billing and cancellation
New accounts get a 14-day free trial. You add a card through Stripe at the end of setup and nothing is charged during the trial. After the trial, TableTeller costs the price shown at checkout, billed monthly per location through Stripe, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires.
Acceptable use
Don't use TableTeller to send spam or marketing to people who didn't agree to it, to harass anyone, to break the law, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that put guests, carriers or TableTeller at risk.
Your data
Your restaurant's data belongs to you. You give us permission to use it to provide and improve TableTeller, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export or delete it by emailing support@tableteller.com.
Disclaimers and limits
TableTeller is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any guest will return. To the fullest extent the law allows, TableTeller is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages or lost profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using TableTeller and close your account anytime. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as restaurant responsibilities, indemnity and limits of liability) survive.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms and will tell owners about important changes; continuing to use TableTeller means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Questions: support@tableteller.com.
